Only with the support of valued members like you can The Colorado Tree Coalition continue to improve community forests across Colorado. Since 1991, the CTC has awarded 453 Community Grants totaling over $707,000. These grants have been matched with over $7.5 million in community money and/or time. As a result of these grants over 69,200 trees have been planted throughout the state. As a CTC member, you are a vital link and deserve much of the credit. Your membership and financial support made possible many projects this year including:

A Community Education Program that continues to make great strides with getting the word out on proper tree selection, planting and management topics. Conferences and workshops sponsored by the CTC include the Greeley Tree Care Workshop, the Eastern Colorado Community Forestry Conference, and the Western Colorado Community Forestry Conference.

A community grants and reforestation program where nearly $51,000 were distributed to 14 organizations this year for projects ranging from tree planting, to tree maintenance, to media production. Along with matching funds provided by the grant recipients, this helped plant 1638 trees with over 2,220 hours of Volunteer time!

In its 11th year, Trees Across Colorado helps communities involve volunteers in tree planting. This year, over 1,600 trees were provided to 19 groups and communities across Colorado.

All this work — and much more — is made possible by membership gifts like yours, and that is why every member is important to us. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!

The Colorado Tree Coalition has two established donation funds, ReForest Colorado (formerly known as the Community Forest Disaster Fund), a fund with the purpose of not only helping restore communities affected by natural disasters but to plant trees in areas in need of tree cover in general, and the Colorado Tree Trust (CTT), an endowment to secure funds for future tree planting and care projects. Visit our CTC Store to make a donation.

Become a Colorado Public Radios’ Evergreen Partner ( and the CPR will donate $3.00 per member to the ReForest Colorado Fund managed by the CTC!
